Ronnie Raccoon's Campfire!
Wisdom, Advice, from
the RV Raccoon!

Plan smarter, laugh harder — one Ronnie tip at a time

Because every great trip starts with a plan… and usually ends with a story

Pull up a chair and pour yourself some coffee.

Ronnie’s got stories, snack reviews, and half-useful advice from the open road.

Rule #11: Grab the duct tape, and a Snack. We will sort the rest out when we get there.

Kick back, grab a snack, and swap a few stories by the fire.

Ronnie's Road Notes

Tales from the road, one burnt marshmallow at a time

Welcome to Ronnie’s Road Notes, the part of the site where I admit all the things I wish I’d done right the first time.

🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝

From my legendary “back-in” battles to snack reviews that should come with a cholesterol warning, this is where the truth of RV life lives.

Think of it as a travel log… if the author occasionally caught his tail in the door.

Boondock Philosophy: Freedom, Fails, and the Great Outdoors (Mostly the Fails)

There’s something spiritual about boondocking. The open sky, the quiet woods, the total lack of plumbing.

They call it “dry camping” — which is ironic, because every time I try it, I end up soaked.

The first time I went off-grid, I brought everything: solar panel, battery bank, backup snacks (the essentials). What I didn’t bring was a clue how any of it worked.

Day one: my inverter started smoking. Day two: I used the last of my water to put out the fire.

But by day three, something magical happened — I stopped trying to make everything perfect and just… listened.

To the wind, the coyotes, and the sound of my empty stomach reminding me I’d forgotten to pack chips.

So yeah, boondocking’s not for everyone. But if you’re the kind of person who likes your coffee gritty and your lessons expensive, it’s paradise.
